I started coaching in Korea and it was all volunteer. I have coached all athletes from beginners to advanced athletes. I enjoy teaching and get the most satisfaction from watching athletes achieve their goals. I started my journey, because I wanted to challenge myself and CrossFit was the challenge I accepted.

I played many different sports growing:
Football, Soccer, Track, Basketball, Baseball, Powerlifting, and CrossFit.

I restarted my fitness journey about 3 years ago and since then, I have participated in many competitions.

Osan Air Base CrossFit Competition - placed 4th of 15 teams
Camp Humphries Oly Lifting Competition- 4th of 8 in my weight class and 1st place team overall.
Coached 3 teams for Camp Humphries CrossFit Comp 1st and 2nd place RX division teams.

Organized multiple competitions in Korea:
Beginners competition
Powerlifting competition
Strongman Competition
2021 Women’s Equality Day comp
Programmed 6 months
In 2018, I split from my ex-wife and had to learn how to cope with living alone and sharing time with taking care of my daughter. I didn’t like the way I looked when I saw myself in the mirror. In December of 2018, I restarted my journey into fitness. I had just finished recovering from my 5th surgery in 8 years. I was consuming 4-6 energy drinks and day and after a major health scare one day, I knew I needed a major change. I started by swimming and lifting weights. I then began running my military squadron PT program and got hooked on functional fitness style training. I went from weighing 220#s to 185#s. I started eating healthier and meal prepping. I was stationed in Korea and that’s where I was hooked back into a CrossFit gym and became a coach. I still drink energy drinks but have slowly started to not drink any. I am down to less than 1 a day and hope to eventually be done with them completely. My enemy is addiction and CrossFit has been my way to get through my struggles.
My purpose for coaching is to take care of my athletes and watch them grow. I love to see athletes achieve goals they have set. I have 2 motivations in my life:
My daughter is my number 1 driving factor. I want t be able to run around and coach my daughter when she gets older. If I was still on my old path, I know I would never be able to do it.
My second motivation is my older brothers police partner who was killed in the line of duty. I wear a chain around my neck, with his badge on it, and when times get tough or a workout puts my into a dark place. I will touch the badge and keep pushing on. That’s what I have learned about myself through my fitness journey.

If any athlete needs help or wants to know more from me, all they have to do is ask.
